Tim Hutchinson

Actor and Folklorist

Tim Hutchinson began singing and acting at an early age in various shows in California where he lives.  With an exceptional, melodic baritone voice, he provides warm rendering to the songs and stories that he uses for his presentations. 

Tim began his acting career with a major role in Spike Lee’s School Daze. With ensuing film roles, such as Lee’s Malcolm X, Tim has an extensive film and television acting resume. He has recurring roles on Murder One, Dangerous Minds, as well as guest starring roles on Friends, Murphy Brown, and LA Law.

Born in Germany, to United States Air Force parents, Tim spent his junior and senior high school years in Lompoc, CA.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from UCLA.

Tim devotes his talents as a singer and storyteller to creating an atmosphere of reconciliation in a cross-cultural environment.

He is a trained and experienced actor. He use that training and experience to bring warmth, vitality, humor and understanding to his presentation, leaving his audience with deeper insights into possible solutions to the barriers that divide us.
